Happy Holidays 2024

HHR1.png

Our annual Happy Holidays Fun(d) Raiser is upon us! This is one of our biggest events of the year and the funds raised support many of the wonderful ministries we have at St. Augustine's. Raffle tickets have been mailed to all parish households and will be on sale in the Gathering Room each weekend after the masses.  You may return tickets and payment by mail or by dropping your return envelope in the collection basket at mass.

Grand Finale

The in-person Grand Finale will be held in the Parish Hall on Saturday, November 23rd.  The Grand Finale includes dinner, a selection of beverages, including food and wine, door prizes, and the opportunity to socialize with friends and fellow parishioners. Raffle and basket drawings, as well as an additional 50-50 raffle, will be held during the finale.  While you do not need to attend the Grand Finale to win a raffle prize or basket, attendance at the event is limited by Fire Regulations to the first 205 people who “check the box” on their raffle ticket indicating that they want to attend and return their payment.

Baskets

Everyone enjoys the baskets we raffle off for Happy Holidays and we are so grateful to the many parishioners who donate baskets and basket items!  If you would like to contribute to this part of Happy Holidays, we're looking for people to:

  • Provide a complete, assembled gift basket, including a detailed list of every item in the basket, to the parish office by Thursday afternoon, October 24th

  • Provide component items that could be put into a basket, such as restaurant gift certificates, small appliances, Christmas decorations, baby items, etc. All items must be new and unopened.

Also, please ensure the office staff has your name and phone number if you drop off a basket or basket items, in the event there are any questions, and so we may properly thank you!

Volunteers

Finally, we will need many volunteers to make the Grand Finale a success. If you would like to help out for a few hours before or after the event, we will need people to help with the following:

  • On/about October 29th/30th:  Help assemble and decorate baskets

  • November 2nd: Help set up baskets in the Gathering Room

  • Friday, November 22nd: Set up tables, chairs, and basket displays; decorate Parish Hall

  • Saturday Daytime, November 23rd: Final set up for catered meal, bar, and event

  • Saturday Evening Event, November 23: Food servers, table bussers, bartenders, basket raffle ticket sellers, runners, and clean-up crew

If you're interested in helping with this event, please click the button below to sign up or call or text Maureen Murphy at (315) 254-0650 or call the parish office at (315) 638-0585 and leave your name and phone number so we can contact you.

Thank you all in advance for any assistance you may provide. We are looking forward to Happy Holidays again this year!
