Pastoral Council Nominations

The Pastoral Council is an advisory board to the pastoral leadership team and plans for the future of the parish while staying true to the parish mission.
The work of the Pastoral Council includes serving as a unifying body for all the various organizations and activities in the parish. In addition, the Council helps establish the vision and goals of the parish, as well as advises and makes recommendations to the pastor for the good of the parish. Pastoral Council members serve for 3 years, and the Pastoral Council meets once every month.

The Nomination Process

Parishioners may nominate themselves or other members of the parish. All parishioners are invited to nominate someone.

Delegates At Large are nominated from the general parish membership, while nominations for members representing specific covenant ministries are chosen from people who are currently active within those ministries. For example, Eucharistic ministers, lectors, or choir members, to name a few, would be eligible to serve as a Pastoral Council member representing Parish Life & Worship Ministries. For more examples, please click here to review a Covenant Booklet.
Once nominated, the nominees are contacted to see if they are willing to serve on the council. If they agree, they will have their names placed in the selection bowl. At the end of Sunday Mass, and after prayerful discernment by the Assembly, the Pastor will select names from the bowl.
For additional information about the Pastoral Council or its nomination process, please contact any of the Pastoral Council members listed here.

In the meantime, please consider and pray about whom you think would be an excellent candidate for Pastoral Council, a person who is dedicated to our parish and exhibits the necessary leadership skills to assist our parish in becoming everything God desires.
